Sun Calculator calculates sunrise, sunset, and civil twilight for any place on earth. Netscape 3.0 or later is required.

You can enter decimal degrees instead of degrees, minutes, seconds for latitude and longitude by entering the value in the degrees field and by leaving the hours and seconds fields empty. The Time Zone Offset is the local time minus UTC (or Zulu time) in hours. Places in North and South America will have a negative offset while places in Asia will have positive offset. The default offset will be correct for your area if your machine is configured with the correct time zone information.

Those looking for information on writing their own astronomical calculators including those for sunrise/sunset calculations should check out the document Astronomy Calculations for the Amateur by Bill McClain.
